The Namibia pilot showed that satellite-enabled communications can provide practical solutions that complement existing terrestrial networks rather than replace them.

In June 2026, that initial collaboration developed into a commercial partnership between Telecom Namibia and Angola’s GGPEN for ANGOSAT-2 satellite services. This was a significant milestone because it showed how practical pilot projects can build confidence, strengthen regional partnerships, and create sustainable commercial opportunities that benefit multiple countries.

Most importantly, it demonstrated how regional collaboration accelerates learning.
